Cllr - Andrew Cole

Andrew has lived in Fairford Leys since 2002 and has been a member of the Parish Council since 2006. He is also one of Coldharbours District Councillors being re-elected to AVDC in May 2015. He is chairman of a local children’s charity as well as being a member of Bearbrook Combined School governors. “I love living on Fairford Leys and feel blessed that my family have such a wonderful place to grow up in.”

Andrew is very vocal in opposing HS2 and is one of the councils HS2 representatives, he has presented our concerns to the select committee when they visited the village and is in regular contact with our MP.

“Like all villages we have our local issues but HS2 will cause months if not years of disruption whilst it is being built plus the blight caused when the line is operational.” “The council and local councillors oppose the line and are fighting to ensure that if it is built it has as minimal impact on the village as possible.”
