Headline: NO MORE FEES!

The Ernest Cook Trust (ECT) have decided that they no longer need to receive applications on planning proposals.  This means that there is no need to ask permission from the ECT when you put in a planning application to Aylesbury Vale District Council.  The Parish Council is copied into all planning applications so we will still comment on any proposals.

If you have already sent in applications to the ECT then please contact them direct regarding any payment that needs to be reimbursed to you.

The ECT still own the covenants and these are still in place.  For further information please contact the ECT Estate Office on 01285 712492

Headline: Allotments

The Allotments are now up and running and everyone is busy digging their plots.  We have a waiting list for allotment holders.  If you are interested please send your name, address and telephone details to the Clerk to the Council.

Headline: HAVE YOUR SAY! ENGAGING WITH COMMUNITY

The Parish Council continues to engage with the community of Fairford Leys through "Coldharbour News" as well as its monthly meetings where all residents can attend and ask questions on matters relating to the council or issues affecting Fairford Leys.

If you are concerned about a particular issue then please either attend a council meeting or contact the Clerk to the Council and arrange a meeting (which a lot of people have done and received assistance on all sorts of matters).  The Chairman of the Parish Council also has a "drop-in" surgery for any residents who wish to speak to him.  This is held on the first Thursday in the month at the Fairford Leys Centre between 11am and 1pm.

The Clerk of the Council also chairs the Fairford Leys Business Owners Forum which is attended by all those who have businesses or offices in Fairford Leys - this is also a way of communicating with those who have an interest in Fairford Leys.

You can also fill in a comments sheet (obtained from the Fairford Leys Centre) and we will reply to you and address any concerns you have.

Come along and enjoy the relaxing environment in our small coffee shop and meeting area.

We provide tea/coffee and juice along with various snacks.

Headline: Community Garden

Did you know that the parish council owns a piece of land in Dalwood Mews?  We had this landscaped and turned it into a community 'Quiet and Peacefull' space for people to sit and relax.  We hope people will use this area with respect and help us look after the garden.

If you do wish to use the Dalwood Mews Garden area, please remember to take any litter away with you.  If you see anyone damaging or misusing this area please report this to the police and the parish clerk.
