Pam was elected as Vice-Chairman of the Parish Council on 4th September, 2008

Pam moved to Fairford Leys from Oslo, Norway in August 2001 and has enjoyed seeing the area grow and develop.
Pam is employed in the Health Service. When her daughter was (much!) younger she established and managed a playgroup and nursery facility in her village which is still a thriving part of the community 20 years later.
She was co-opted to the Parish Council in May 2005 and looks forward to playing a part in the continuing development of Fairford Leys community.

I moved to Fairford Leys in May 2005 with my daughter and three cats and two rabbits from St Albans.

I previously worked in London as a Legal PA an when i moved here attended Aylsbury College and studied Garden Design. When i completed the course i started my own Garden Design Business, whereupon i have undertaken a number of Fairford Leys residents' gardens and have got to know many of you very well.

Since moving here, I have found it a very friendly place to live and have made some good friends. I enjoy the fact that everything is in a close vicinity and we are able to walk everywhere or ride our bikes.

I am looking forward to working with the other councillors and being a part of a developing and thriving community.

Steven was re-elected as Chairman of the Council on 1st May, 2008

Steven moved to Fairford Leys from South London in August 2002. He was attracted to Aylesbury Vale for its community feel and closeness to open countryside - a world of difference from congested, impersonal central London.

Steven graduated from the Open University in June 2005 with a Social Science degree focussing in Politics and Government. "My degree gave me a passion for local politics and desire to make a difference and do something of value for the community". As a result he became a Parish Councillor for Coldharbour Parish Council and was elected as Chairman in May 2006. In May 2007 he was successful in being elected as an Aylesbury Vale District Councillor for Coldharbour Ward.

In the role as Chairman, Steven represents Fairford Leys to the outside world as the civic and ceremonial head of the council. The role of Chairman also includes: Chairing meetings of the full council; Acting as official host to visitors to the village and representing the village at ceremonial events. As a councillor, Steven also holds a monthly contituent surgery (11am to 1pm) on the first Thursday of the month at the Parish Council Office, Wedgewood Street, Fairford Leys. He is also keen to see the council promote the local businesses and community groups to the rest of Aylesbury and Buckinghamshire as well as championing public involvement in the council's activities.

Steven is keen to promote and maintain a close relationship with the local community and actively encourages the public to attend council meetings which all electors may attend and raise issues of concern to the parish council. He is also currently championing the first Village Plan for Fairford Leys, which will set out the design and community direction of the village for the next 10 years.

Additionally, Steven is the Vice-Chairman and Community Governor for St Mary's Church of England School in Fairford Leys and a Community Governor at Quarrendon Secondary School.

In his work life Steven is a qualified project and programme manager and has worked for Post Office Ltd since 1989 and is currently a Product Manager for the Post Office HomePhone Service. He has a wide range of interests from reading to cinema and theatre - especially those produced by local groups, and is interested in outward bound activities such as orienteering. Steven also has a life-long passion for history and is a member of the National Trust and the RSPCA.

A keen sportsman, Pat played football for Aylesbury United and captained the Bucks Roller Hockey team. Now retired (after working for 25 years for AVDC) Pat devotes even more time to his duties as a parish councillor, making a point of walking around the village at least twice a week.

After two years on Aylesbury Town Council, Pat joined Coldharbour in 2003. Pat is Chairman of the Buckinghamshire Association of Local Councils(BALC), Chairman of Aylesbury Vale Association(AVALC) and President of Aylesbury Credit Union.

He is also Chairman of the South East Region County Assoiciation Forum, Joint Chairman of the County and Parishes Liason Committee and a member of the Quality Status Accreditation panel for this county.

Pat has been involved in a great deal of voluntary work, including 20 years as a scholl governor(10 as Chairman), Chairman of the Stoke Mandeville Para Travel Charity, and sits on the Bucks Playing Fields Association Executive Committee of Youth Concern and a Grand Knight of the Knights of St Columba Charity.
